Rationale

The element within the lightbulb is an e for environment and the elephant’s trunk is a j for jobs. I used the same colours that they currently use. Unfortunately, when I submitted this work they didn’t seem to remember that they were running a competition for a new logo. I did get a “that’s interesting” comment, though.

Lightbulb represents:
Energy/electricity, Ideas, Sun/Solar
(also a round bulb so is the same shape as the sun/earth)

The elephant represents:
animals and workers, as the elephant is often seen as a working animal. It also represents power and strength. There are also references to water (the elephant’s trunk) and wind (its ears). I tried to emcompass examining (the lightbulb) and caring (carefully holding) in the logo too.
